The carcass structure presents the Dunlop Advanced Apex Design, an advanced top design that was one of the secrets of the success of the MX33 and that is able to offer a significantly higher shock absorption, a uniform stiffness on the shoulder, a guide more easy and improved driving sensations, thus providing high performance without adding weight. The tests carried out by Dunlop have shown the progress made with respect to the performance of the MX52 on hard ground, but have also achieved superior results on the intermediate surfaces, partly thanks to the brand new tread design. In the front, the horseshoe-shaped design offers greater braking power when the plugs penetrate like claws into the harder ground. The dowels are 1 mm higher than the predecessor: usually this aspect influences the stability, but Dunlop has added longitudinal tie rods between the blocks to offer constant performance and greater durability. The rear has pairs of well-distributed blocks, which offer high traction and acceleration - key features to win in the final stages of the race.
